Ballast water system installed on OSV at sea and in service
Bio UV Group and engineering partner 3C Metal have successfully installed a Bio-Sea L03-087 modular ballast water treatment system on board the 4,350dwt offshore supply vessel, Greatship Maya , at sea. The retrofit was undertaken for Greatship Global Offshore Service Ptd Ltd (Singapore) while the 2009-built DP2 ship continued to provide rig supply support off Labuan in Malaysia. Although an installation at sea takes longer than a drydock operation, there are significant cost savings.
