Fleet to be entirely MRV compliant
d‘Amico group | The classification society RINA Services has verified that the entire fleet of the Italian family-run shipping company d’Amico Group has met the monitoring, reporting and verification of CO2 emissions regulation (MRV) requirements according to the EU 2015/757 Regulation. The fleet comprises 36 vessels which are managed by d’Amico Società di Navigazione and 35 vessels managed by its subsidiary Ishima Pte. Ltd. The new regulation was developed in response to the challenge of reducing greenhouse gases in European territories to the 2050 targets set by EU. By 2030 GHG emissions must be reduced by at least 40% below 1990 levels. The EU Commission strategy suggests that the CO2 emissions from maritime transport should be cut by at least 40% from 2005 levels by 2050.
