Newcastlemax bulk carrier to have WindWings installation
Singapore-based Berge Bulk is to install four BAR Tech WindWings by Yara Marine Technologies on board its 210,00dwt Newcastlemax bulk carrier, Berge Olympus , in the second quarter of 2023. The 50m-high solid wing sails could reduce carbon emissions by as much as 30% through a combination of wind propulsion and route optimisation, Berge Bulk said.
