Joint study completed on ammonia as fuel
Classification society Bureau Veritas (BV) and energy major, TotalEnergies, have completed a preliminary study assessing the potential health and safety risks from ammonia leaks to crew and passengers, when the compound of nitrogen and hydrogen is used as a marine fuel. A key focus of the study has been leak mitigation and treatment.
