Heavyweight partners to develop ammonia-powered gas carrier
The Global Maritime Forum (GMF) and Fürstenberg Maritime Advisory (FMA), a consultancy, have brought together a group of partners representing shipping’s value chain to develop a concept for a zero-emissions gas carrier powered by green ammonia. The Nordic Green Ammonia-Powered Ship (NoGAPS) project aims to demonstrate that green ammonia offers significant potential in maritime decarbonisation by developing “a credible business model”, GMF said.
