Lightweight crane launched for wind turbine service

Efficient maintenance | A new lightweight crane designed by Huisman will reduce the size of jack-up vessels required for wind turbine maintenance, thereby improving efficiency, it is claimed. The company, a lifting, drilling and subsea specialist based in Schiedam, the Netherlands, has recently launched the foldable offshore crane with a collapsible boom which requires less deck space for comparable lifting heights and capacities.
