Hybrid propulsion for new US tractor tug
Rolls-Royce is to supply its first hybrid propulsion system for a new multi-purpose tractor tug under construction at Nichols Brothers Boat Builders in Washington State, United States. The hybrid tug has been designed by Jensen Maritime, Crowley Maritime Corp’s Seattle-based naval architecture and engineering firm, and will be owned and operated by San Francisco-based Baydelta Maritime LLC.
