A multi-level technical revolution

The maritime industry continues to focus on reducing its ecological footprint but global shipping’s responsibility in relation to climate warming is gaining more and more attention. Especially after the latest meeting of the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) in April, there is no doubt that the shipping industry now has to make deep cuts in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and thus make an important contribution to curbing global warming.
