Damen Shiprepair completes first cruise ship repair for Carnival

P&O Cruises‘ Fincantieri-built cruise vessel Ventura recently completed a two-week docking at Damen Shiprepair Brest, the first time that a Carnival plc ship has undergone repairs there. Work on the 116,000gt vessel, delivered in 2008, included the fitting of two exhaust gas scrubbers, a process that involved the design, manufacture and installation of a sea chest. Other work included comprehensive hydro-blasting of the hull prior to repainting, and servicing of the ship’s propulsion systems and stabilisers....
