New high-throughput terminals to be developed

London-listed Inmarsat and Intellian, a South Korea-based provider of satellite antenna systems, have announced an agreement that will see Intellian design and manufacture a new range of FleetBroadband terminals to support Inmarsat’s existing I-4 satellite constellation as well as its new sixth generation (I-6) satellites that are due to launch in 2020. The new terminals will be “significantly lower cost”, the companies claim, while featuring a range of new capabilities including faster throughput speeds....
