Freshwater generator saves power
Alfa Laval’s Aqua Blue S-type freshwater generator reduces electrical power requirements by almost 70%, the company claims. The generator is still based on the same 3-in-1 Aqua plate technology that was used in earlier versions, but new energy efficiency derived from using a ship’s existing seawater cooling pumps saves space and gives the Aqua Blue a footprint that is 15% smaller.
