Lightweight structural design to enhance efficiency

Alternative materials In light of an increasing awareness of sustainable operation as well as tightening legislation, shipbuilders are assessing ways in which to raise efficiency. One option is to adopt lightweight structural designs because there is a close linear relation between reduction of weight and fuel consumption.
