Overview | The maritime sector in Finland is versatile. With its two strategically well-positioned cities along the Baltic Sea – Turku on the southwest coast and the capital Helsinki on the shore of the Gulf of Finland – the Nordic country is one of the most important maritime hubs in Europe. Among the main topics that currently rank high on the agenda of the various players are Arctic shipping as well as the development of autonomous vessels.
