Partners announce plan for zero-emission harbour tug
Tokyo Kisen Co, Ltd and Marindows Inc, a Tokyo-based digital technology service company in the marine field, have announced the start of a project to develop Japan’s first fully-electric harbour tug. Scheduled for completion in 2030, the vessel will operate in the ports of Yokohama and Kawasaki, contributing to the country’s ‘zero GHG emissions from the ports’ strategy as set out in its Carbon Neutral Port policy.
