Collaboration on small modular reactor technology
Zurich-headquartered ABB and Sweden’s Blykalla have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to speed up the deployment of small modular reactor (SMR) technology. Lead-cooled SMRs are likely to be a promising new technology for shipping as nuclear power in the maritime sector climbs the agenda. The latest MoU comes after an earlier one signed by the two companies about a year ago.
