Digital tool tracks crew well-being
Singapore-based ship management software provider, WiseStella, has released a digital system, Wise Well-Being, to assess and safeguard the mental health of ships’ crews. The issue is one of growing concern as many seafarers face high levels of stress in their living and working conditions, with little or no letup seven days a week. The mental health of seagoing personnel should be a top priority for all shipowners and operators but often, say experts, it is way down their list of priorities.
