Genset type-approved in China
MAN Energy Solutions has received type approval for its MAN 7L21/31DF-M dual-fuel methanol genset following the completion of recent tests in China. The company undertook the tests in cooperation with CSSC Marine Power, its licensee, at its production facility in Zhenjiang and was granted approval from the classification societies attending the event. The basis for the new methanol engine concept is the MAN 21/31 Mk II type that is part-load optimised with a world-best specific fuel-oil consumption in the 1–2 MW range....
