Latest marine battery now available at USD 300 per kWh
Andorra-based AYK Energy has launched a new marine battery, Pisces, designed for vessels deployed on longer routes including RoPax ferries and cargo ships. AYK claims that the Pisces battery will be available at USD 300 per kWh, the first time this price has been achieved. Commenting that this development should accelerate the take-up of battery power for ships, AYK founder, Chris Kruger, said that until now, the typical price for marine battery power has ranged between USD 450-550 per kWh.
