Hard coating demonstrates better cavitation protection
Tests carried out recently in Grenoble by the French Ministry of Defence revealed that Ecoshield, a hard coating produced by Belgium-based Subsea Industries, demonstrated superior cavitation protection compared with other coatings. The tests were undertaken in six stages, Subsea Industries explained, during which Ecoshield was exposed to increasing pressure drops, creating a growing cavitation force.
