Order for hybrid-powered RoRo vessels
Naples-based Grimaldi Group has ordered six large RoRo vessels in a USD 400 million contract with state-owned Chinese shipyard Jinling in Nanjing, China. The 64,000gt vessels, with a capacity of 7,800 lane metres, are twice the size of the largest vessel currently operated by the Italian company and yet will consume the same volume of fuel at the same speed.
