Work-class ROV launched
Houston-based Forum Energy Technologies (FET) recently unveiled its latest Work-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV), XLX EVO III, at the 2025 Subsea Expo Exhibition & Conference in Aberdeen. Designed to undertake a range of underwater tasks at a depth of up to 4,000m, the company claims that the latest version marks a new generation of ultra-heavy-duty subsea ROVs. It has larger thrusters for increased through-water performance, and an improved buoyancy package enabling a 500kg payload. A new frame, meanwhile, facilitates a 30% increase in through-frame-lift over the EVO II, taking it to 4,000kg....
