SAL orders electric cranes
Orca class | Hamburg-based SAL Heavy Lift has ordered eight electric heavy-lift cranes for four Orca-class newbuildings from Liebherr. Each vessel will have two LS 800 E cranes with a maximum lifting capacity of 800 tonnes and a radius of 39m, but which can lift weights of up to 1600 tonnes when working in tandem. Part of the Harren Group, SAL Heavy Lift has worked closely with Liebherr for many years.
