Efficiency retrofit completed
BAM Shipping | Damen Shipyards Group has completed a major retrofit programme on four bulk carriers for Liberia-based logistics company BAM Shipping, involving a range of energy and emissions-saving systems. The project is expected to cut fuel consumption by up to 25% and reduce emissions by around 90%, according to initial estimates. The retrofit is the first of its kind to incorporate this specific combination of technologies on a single set of vessels.
