Introduction of common-rail commercial marine engine

Yanmar Europe BV has announced the introduction of a common rail commercial marine engine, the 6AYEM. The addition to Yanmar’s range is positioned alongside its mechanical equivalents, the 6AYM and 12AYM. According to the Dutch company, the adoption of common rail technology broadens the choices available to customers looking for a cleaner engine that complies with existing IMO/EPA/CCNR emissions limits and can meet future environmental requirements, including IMO Tier III and EPA Tier 4.
