Second phase adds partners for piston-free LNG container vessel
Perfect | Project partners GTT, CMA CGM (and its subsidiary CMA Ships) and DNV GL signed a cooperation agreement with new project participants ABB, the Cater pillar company Solar Turbines, and OMT for phase two of the highly successful PERFECt (“piston engine room free efficient containership”) project at this year’s SMM. The project is investigating the possibility of using a combined gas and steam turbine system (COGAS) to power an ultra-large container ship (ULCS).
