Innovative tool manages emissions and trade carbon allowances
Hamburg-based maritime data firm, OceanScore, and RWE Supply & Trading GmbH, a global energy and commodity trading group, now provide a data-driven system to manage emission liabilities and trade carbon allowances. The new setup was established just a few months before ships trading in European Union and European Economic Area waters are bound to monitor emissions and manage allowances under the European Union‘s Emissions Trading System, due to enter force for shipping in 2024.
