D2-vessel deployed in Yunlin wind farm
Jumbo Javelin | Jumbo Offshore has used its heavy-lift crane vessel, Jumbo Javelin , at the Yunlin wind farm off the Taiwanese coast in an installation project for Yunneng Wind Power Co Ltd. The DP2 vessel was equipped specially for the job, with a Jumbo Fly-Job modular crane boom extension to increase lifting height. The ship was therefore capable of lifting 27m-high transition pieces. The Yunlin wind farm lies in the Taiwan Strait between 8 and 17km from shore. It covers an area of 82km2 and its 80 wind turbine generators will provide up to 640 MW of clean electricity, sufficient for about 600,000 Taiwanese households....
