Spliethoff Group takes majority stake in ForestWave, orders new vessel type
Fleet expanion | Spliethoff Group has acquired a majority interest in ForestWave, making the fellow Dutch shipping company its seventh business unit. With this expansion, the number of vessels commercially operated by the Spliethoff Group has grown to a combined fleet of over 140 vessels. More recently, Spliethoff has placed an order with Wuhu Shipyard Co Ltd in China for the construction of a series of eight multi-purpose vessels with an option for two additional vessels.
