Carnival extends decarbonisation agreement Carnival Corporation & plc has extended its Performance based agreement with Wärtsilä by one year until March 2030. The agreement, in place since 2017, covers maintenance, technical support, optimisation and fuel saving measures for 57 cruise ships within the company’s global fleet. By optimising the performance and efficiency of the ships’ Wärtsilä engines, fuel consumption is reduced, cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
