How will the shipping industry transition to a low carbon future?
Study | The classification society Lloyd’s Register (LR), together with Shipping in Changing Climates, a USD 4-million multi-university and cross-industry research project funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), has released the study “Low Carbon Pathways 2050”. By looking at the current best available evidence, it tries to find a reasonable estimate of how shipping might be required to change and what this change could look like.
