Possible growth limited by Suez Canal
ULCS | The increase in the maximum length and beam of ULCSs (ultra-large container ships) has stalled over the last five years. It found that the main particulars of the next-generation ULCS will be seriously affected by size limitations imposed by the Suez Canal, write the classification society’s Uwe Hollenbach, Jörg Rörup and Jost Bergmann.
