Portfolio of radio communication technologies expanded
The Swedish company Saab TransponderTech has expanded its portfolio of AIS (automatic identification system) and VDES (VHF data exchange system) technologies. The R6 Supreme system is the new generation of shipborne Class-A transponder systems. It is type-approved for AIS and prepared for future VDES functionality with the latest software-defined radio, providing an AIS sensitivity of -118 dBm (decibels relative to one milliwatt).
