New guidelines on bunker tank composition
Korean Register (KR) has published new guidelines on the materials used in storage tanks for new low- or zero-carbon fuels currently under development. Its ‘Guidelines for Selection of Metallic Materials of Containment Systems for Alternative Fuels for Ship’ have been drawn up jointly by the Register’s research and development (R&D) division and the research team at the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials.
