MARIN uses CFD to assess new hub platform design
SSP OFFSHORE The Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN) has combined computational fluid dynamics (CFD) with fast-time simulations and intensive testing on its bridge simulator to explore the full potential of a new floating platform design by SSP Offshore, a Houston-based subsidiary of Singapore’s Sembcorp Marine specialised in the design, engineering and delivery of innovative floating production and drilling solutions for the oil and gas industry.
