CYLINDER OILS | Difficult industry and macro-economic conditions are driving vessel operators and owners to seek further operating efficiencies. The adoption of increasingly severe slow steaming regimes, primarily to save expensive bunker costs but also to keep ships working instead of laid-up, is becoming standard practice across a widening range of sectors but also creates major challenges in regard to optimal cylinder lubrication.
