New partnership to boost maritime cyber protection
Shipping communications company, Marlink, and Norma Cyber, a Norwegian cyber security specialist, have struck a strategic partnership to provide more protection against cyber threats across their mutual customer base. Marlink said it is the first information and communication technology firm to enter such an arrangement and will now be able to provide an additional layer of cyber expertise “designed to government-graded specifications”, the companies said in a statement. The Norwegian Maritime Cyber Resilience Centre (Norma Cyber), a joint venture between insurer Den Norske Krigsforsikring for Skib (DNK) and the Norwegian Shipowners’ Association, provides centralised cyber security services across the maritime and offshore sector....
