New regulations and guidelines accommodate “green” future of shipping
Classification society Bureau Veritas (BV) has developed a new notation to recognise the performance of ultra-low emission vessels (ULEVs), together with rules and guidelines on ammonia as marine fuel. Jan De Nul Group’s newest trailing suction hopper dredgers (TSHDs) Sanderus , Ortelius , Tristão Da Cunha , Afonso De Albuquerque , and Diogo Cão have become the first ships to receive BV’s new ULEV notation.
