New integrated automation module
Power management | A new all-in-one grid measurement and monitoring module for electrical three-phase networks has been launched by Bachmann electronic GmbH. The Feldkirch, Austria-headquartered company, which specialises in automation technology in a range of industrial sectors including marine, offshore and renewables, claims that its new GMP232 programmable logic controller (PLC) integrated module has significantly more functionality than is commonly available in the market today. It provides additional calculation processes, high-precision frequency measuring and enhanced protection functions. This combination, the company says, provides both plant control at an operational level, and robust grid automation technology in a single unit.
